  • Payment or fee scams

3. Creator and Recruiter Responsibility

Anyone posting or promoting a casting call, audition, talent request, crew request, collaboration request, or similar opportunity is responsible for making sure the opportunity is lawful, safe, honest, and compliant with Playflick policies.

Recruiters must not mislead users about:

  • Who they are
  • What project they represent
  • Whether the role is paid or unpaid
  • What work is required
  • Where the work will happen
  • Whether travel is required
  • Who will receive audition materials
  • How personal information will be used
  • Whether Playflick is involved, sponsoring, or endorsing the opportunity

4. Playflick Is Not the Casting Employer Unless Stated

Unless Playflick clearly states otherwise in writing, casting calls, auditions, performer requests, crew requests, and creative opportunities posted by users are not run, sponsored, verified, endorsed, guaranteed, or administered by Playflick.

Users should carefully verify any opportunity before sharing personal information, attending meetings, sending audition materials, travelling, paying fees, or signing agreements.

  • How submitted materials will be used

6. Prohibited Casting Activity

Warning signs may include:

  • Paying for fake training before a promised role
  • Paying for fake portfolio packages
  • Paying for fake agency representation
  • Being asked to send money through unusual payment methods
  • Being promised guaranteed fame, followers, or income after payment

Playflick may restrict casting activity that appears to involve scams, fake fees, payment abuse, or misleading talent services.

8. Children and Young Performers

Casting activity involving children or young performers must be handled with extra care.

Users must not:

  • Request sexual, nude, intimate, or suggestive audition material from minors
  • Invite children to private meetings without appropriate parent or guardian involvement
  • Ask children to hide auditions from parents or guardians
  • Ask children to share private location, school, routine, or contact information
  • Use casting calls to groom, manipulate, or exploit children
  • Use children in unsafe, humiliating, or exploitative productions

Serious child-safety concerns may result in immediate content removal, account termination, evidence preservation, and reporting where appropriate or required.

9. Parent or Guardian Involvement

Where young performers are involved, parents or legal guardians should be involved in reviewing opportunities, communications, auditions, contracts, travel, filming arrangements, and payment terms.

Creators and recruiters should not pressure minors to communicate privately or secretly.

Users under 18 should not attend auditions, send sensitive information, or accept roles without appropriate parent or guardian permission.

  • Used in paid content or advertising without appropriate rights
  • Used to impersonate the performer

12. AI, Voice, and Likeness Misuse

  • Collect unnecessary personal information
  • Require users to buy fake tools, courses, or access
