This policy explains:
- How deceased-user account reports may be handled
- What memorialisation may mean
- Who may request account closure or review
- What evidence Playflick may request
- How privacy and content rights may apply after death
- How Playflick may prevent fraud, impersonation, or account takeover
3. Feature Availability
Memorialisation, legacy contact tools, account closure support, archive requests, family support tools, authorised representative tools, and related legacy account features may not be available in every country, account type, or situation.
Playflick may add, remove, restrict, redesign, suspend, or discontinue legacy account features at any time.
4. What Memorialisation May Mean
Memorialisation may allow an account to remain visible in a limited form after Playflick receives appropriate information that the account holder has died.
Memorialisation may involve:
- Adding a memorial notice where available
- Restricting login access
- Preventing account takeover
- Preserving existing public content where appropriate
- Restricting profile changes
- Restricting monetisation, payments, or marketplace features
- Restricting direct messaging or new activity
Playflick does not guarantee that memorialisation will be available or appropriate in every case.
5. Account Closure After Death
Playflick may consider requests to close or restrict an account belonging to a deceased user where a valid request is received from an authorised person or where required by law.
Account closure may affect:
- Profile visibility
- Uploaded content
- Comments and posts
- Community ownership
- Creator monetisation
- Subscriptions and memberships

6. Who May Submit a Legacy Request
Playflick may review legacy requests from people who can provide appropriate information or authority.
Requesters may include:
- Immediate family members
- Executors or estate representatives
- Legal representatives
- Authorised business representatives
- Guardians or parents where relevant
- Other people with lawful authority
Playflick may refuse requests where authority is unclear, incomplete, inconsistent, suspicious, or unsupported.

9. Privacy After Death
Playflick may continue to protect account information, private messages, security records, payment records, and private content after an account holder’s death.
Playflick may not provide account login access, private messages, payment information, unpublished content, private files, or personal data to family members or representatives unless legally required or otherwise permitted under applicable policy and law.
10. No General Login Transfer
Playflick generally does not transfer login credentials, passwords, two-factor authentication, private account access, or full account control to another person after death.
This helps protect the account holder’s privacy, other users’ privacy, account security, and platform integrity.
11. Legacy Contacts
Playflick may provide legacy contact tools where available.
A legacy contact feature may allow a user to nominate someone to help manage limited account actions after death.
Legacy contact powers, if available, may be limited and may not include full account access, private message access, payment access, or the right to act against law or policy.
12. Creator Accounts After Death
Creator accounts may involve uploaded content, monetisation, payouts, collaborations, communities, memberships, paid content, marketplace listings, or business arrangements.
Playflick may review creator account legacy matters carefully because they may involve:
- Copyright ownership
- Contracts or licences
- Estate rights
- Payment and payout records
- Tax records
- Brand or business arrangements
- Community ownership
- Subscriber or member access
13. Monetisation, Payments, and Payouts
If a deceased user’s account had monetisation, wallet balances, creator earnings, marketplace sales, memberships, paid content, or payouts, Playflick may require additional legal, identity, estate, tax, or payment information before taking action.
Payments or payouts may be delayed, held, reversed, restricted, or processed according to applicable law, payment-provider rules, tax rules, fraud controls, and Playflick policies.
14. Subscriptions and Paid Features
Playflick may restrict, cancel, or review subscriptions, memberships, paid features, recurring charges, marketplace tools, or creator monetisation associated with a deceased user’s account where appropriate.
Refunds or credits may depend on payment-provider rules, subscription terms, refund policies, legal requirements, and available evidence.
15. Content Preservation
Playflick may preserve certain account records, content, or evidence where required or appropriate for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, rights protection, payment disputes, moderation, appeals, audits, or platform integrity.
Preservation does not guarantee continued public visibility or future access.

- Community posts
- Reviews or ratings
17. Private Messages and Private Content
Playflick may protect private messages, private posts, private account records, unpublished content, private playlists, and restricted content after death.
Playflick may refuse access to private content where access would violate privacy, confidentiality, other users’ rights, legal requirements, or Playflick policies.
18. Community Ownership After Death
If a deceased user owned or moderated a community, Playflick may review community ownership, admin roles, moderator roles, safety concerns, inactivity, or transfer requests where appropriate.
Playflick does not guarantee that community ownership can be transferred, restored, inherited, or preserved in every case.
19. Business or Organisation Accounts
If the account represents a business, studio, organisation, brand, project, or team, Playflick may require evidence of authority before changing access, ownership, verification, billing, or account status.
Business account requests may be handled under our Business Accounts & Organisation Policy and Team Access & Role Permissions Policy.
20. Fraud, Impersonation, and Abuse Prevention
Legacy account processes must not be used for fraud, impersonation, harassment, account takeover, payment abuse, rights abuse, or unauthorised access.

21. False Reports
Submitting false or abusive legacy requests may result in account restrictions, refusal of future requests, preservation of records, or other enforcement action.
Serious fraud, forged documents, account takeover attempts, or harmful abuse may be referred to relevant authorities where appropriate or required.
