Recommendations Feedback & “Not Interested” Policy
Effective Date: 2026
Last Updated: 2026
This Recommendations Feedback & “Not Interested” Policy explains how recommendation feedback, “not interested” actions, hide controls, mute controls, block controls, report tools, follow and unfollow signals, likes, dislikes, saves, watch history, search history, feedback forms, and related personalisation controls may work on Playflick.com, operated by Playflick™ Media .ltd.
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Search, Rankings & Recommendations Policy, Automated Decision-Making & Profiling Policy, Cookie Policy, Cookie Settings & Consent Preferences, Advertising Policy, Online Safety Policy, Moderation Policy, and Account Suspension & Termination Policy.

2. Purpose of This Policy
Playflick may provide controls that allow users to influence recommendations, discovery, feeds, search suggestions, ads, notifications, and content personalisation where features are available.
This policy explains:
- How recommendation feedback controls may work
- What “not interested,” hide, mute, block, and report actions may do
- How likes, dislikes, follows, saves, and watch activity may affect recommendations
- Why feedback may not immediately remove all similar content
- How privacy and personalisation settings may affect recommendations
- How Playflick may use feedback to improve platform systems
3. Feedback Features May Not Always Be Available
“Not interested,” hide, mute, block, report, dislike, follow, unfollow, save, watch history controls, search history controls, ad preference tools, recommendation feedback, and related features may not be available to every user, country, device, browser, app version, content type, or platform surface.
Playflick may add, remove, restrict, redesign, suspend, or discontinue feedback features at any time.
4. Recommendation Feedback Is Not a Guarantee
Recommendation feedback may help Playflick understand user preferences, but it does not guarantee that all unwanted content, topics, creators, ads, communities, or similar recommendations will disappear.
Users may still see similar content because of:
- Popular or trending content
- Search relevance
- Subscribed or followed accounts
- Community activity
- Sponsored or advertising placements
- Limited feedback history
- Technical limitations
- Safety, legal, or service notices
5. “Not Interested” Controls
“Not interested” controls may allow users to tell Playflick that they do not want to see certain recommended content or similar suggestions.
A “not interested” action may influence:
- Recommended videos
- Homepage suggestions
- Watch-next suggestions
- Related content
- Creator recommendations
- Topic recommendations
- Community recommendations
- Future personalisation signals
The effect may take time and may not apply to every Playflick surface.
6. Hide Controls
Hide controls may allow users to hide specific content, recommendations, comments, posts, communities, ads, or other items where features are available.
Hiding one item may not hide all similar items, all content from the same creator, or all related topics unless Playflick provides a specific tool for that purpose.
7. Mute Controls
Mute controls may allow users to reduce or stop seeing activity from certain users, creators, keywords, topics, communities, notifications, conversations, or threads where features are available.
Muting may affect visibility or notifications but may not fully block all interactions, mentions, search results, legal notices, safety notices, or platform-required communications.
8. Block Controls
Block controls may allow users to limit interactions with another user, creator, community member, or account where features are available.
Blocking may affect:
- Comments
- Replies
- Messages
- Mentions
- Profile interactions
- Community interactions
- Recommendations from that account where available
Blocking may not remove all historical interactions, public content, legal notices, moderation records, payment records, or safety records.
9. Report Controls
Report controls allow users to notify Playflick about content, accounts, comments, communities, ads, messages, events, or features that may violate Playflick policies.
Reporting content is different from “not interested.”
Reports may be reviewed for safety, legal, moderation, fraud, rights, or platform integrity concerns.
10. Likes, Dislikes, Reactions, and Saves
Likes, dislikes, reactions, saves, watchlists, favourites, bookmarks, and similar actions may influence recommendations where features are available.
These actions may help Playflick understand:
- Content users enjoy
- Topics users may want more or less of
- Creators users prefer
- Genres or categories of interest
- Content users may want to return to later
Public visibility of these actions may vary depending on settings and feature design.
11. Follow and Subscribe Signals
Following, subscribing, joining, or becoming a member of a creator, community, show, playlist, topic, or account may affect recommendations and notifications.
Unfollowing, unsubscribing, leaving, or cancelling may reduce related recommendations but may not remove all similar content from discovery surfaces.
12. Watch History and Search History
Watch history and search history may influence recommendations, search suggestions, personalised feeds, reminders, continue-watching rows, and related features where available.
Users may be able to pause, clear, delete, or manage certain history controls where features are available.
Clearing or pausing history may affect recommendation quality and may not delete all records Playflick must retain for legal, security, fraud, payment, moderation, or platform integrity reasons.
13. Keyword, Topic, and Category Preferences
Playflick may allow users to manage certain topic, keyword, category, genre, language, region, or interest preferences where features are available.
Preference tools may not fully remove all related content because recommendations may also depend on popularity, subscriptions, search relevance, paid placements, safety notices, or user activity.
14. Advertising Feedback
Users may be able to provide feedback about ads, such as hiding an ad, reporting an ad, or adjusting advertising preferences where features are available.
Ad feedback may influence future advertising but may not stop all ads, all ads from a category, or all ads from an advertiser unless Playflick or applicable settings provide that control.
More information is available in our Advertising Policy and Cookie Settings & Consent Preferences.
15. Notification Feedback
Users may be able to manage notification preferences, creator alerts, community notifications, recommendation emails, digest emails, push notifications, or similar communication settings.
Turning off recommendation notifications may not stop essential account, security, billing, legal, safety, or service communications.
16. Feedback and Safety Systems
Playflick may use feedback signals to improve safety, moderation, anti-spam, fraud prevention, child-safety tools, recommendation quality, search quality, content classification, and platform integrity.
Feedback may be combined with other signals such as reports, watch activity, metadata, account standing, spam signals, and moderation outcomes.
17. Feedback Misuse
Users must not misuse feedback tools to manipulate recommendations, attack creators, suppress competitors, abuse reporting systems, or coordinate unfair campaigns.
Feedback misuse may include:
- Mass false reports
- Coordinated dislike campaigns
- Fake “not interested” campaigns to suppress content
- Using bots to manipulate preference signals
- Reporting content to harass creators
- Using feedback tools to target protected or vulnerable groups
18. Children and Young Users
Recommendation feedback and personalisation controls for children or young users may work differently to support child safety, age-appropriate experiences, legal requirements, parental controls, and privacy protections.
Playflick may restrict certain feedback tools, recommendations, ads, personalisation, or community discovery features for children or young users.
19. Privacy and Personalisation Choices
Users may have privacy choices that affect personalisation, recommendation signals, cookies, tracking technologies, advertising, analytics, and data use where features are available and where required by law.
More information is available in our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Cookie Settings & Consent Preferences, and Automated Decision-Making & Profiling Policy.
20. Why Recommendations May Still Feel Incorrect
Recommendations may not always match user preferences perfectly.
Recommendations may be affected by:
- Limited account activity
- Shared devices
- Multiple users using one account
- Recent searches or accidental clicks
- Trending content
- Creator subscriptions
- Regional popularity
- System tests or experiments
- Incomplete or conflicting feedback signals

These records may be retained for platform operation, personalisation, safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, moderation, appeals, analytics, audits, and platform integrity.

25. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Recommendations Feedback & “Not Interested” Policy from time to time.
