3. Verification Feature Availability

Verification badges, authenticity labels, official account labels, business badges, creator badges, organisation badges, profile review tools, verification request forms, and related features may not be available to every user, creator, business, country, account type, device, or platform surface.

Playflick may add, remove, restrict, redesign, suspend, or discontinue verification and authenticity features at any time.


4. What a Verification Badge May Mean

A verification badge may indicate that Playflick has reviewed certain information and believes the account is authentic according to available verification processes.

Depending on the badge type, verification may indicate that an account appears to represent:

  • A creator
  • A public figure
  • A business
  • A brand
  • A studio

5. What Verification Does Not Mean

Verification does not mean that Playflick endorses, sponsors, recommends, guarantees, approves, or takes responsibility for the account’s content, products, services, opinions, claims, links, transactions, or activity.

Verification also does not guarantee:

  • Accuracy of all content
  • Quality of products or services
  • Creator earnings
  • Search ranking or recommendation boosts
  • Permanent badge status
  • Immunity from moderation or enforcement

6. Types of Verification or Authenticity Labels

Playflick may provide different badges or labels where features are available.

Badge or label types may include:

  • Verified creator badge
  • Official account label
  • Business account badge
  • Organisation badge
  • Studio or distributor badge
  • Public figure badge
  • Community authenticity label
  • Partner or programme badge where applicable

Badge designs, names, colours, meanings, and eligibility rules may change over time.


7. Eligibility for Verification

Verification eligibility may depend on account type, authenticity, notability, risk level, public interest, business identity, creator identity, platform activity, compliance history, and feature availability.

Playflick may consider:

  • Whether the account is authentic
  • Whether the account represents a real person, business, brand, studio, or organisation
  • Whether the account is complete and active
  • Whether the account is at risk of impersonation
  • Whether the account has public interest or notability
  • Whether verification would reduce user confusion
  • Whether the account follows Playflick policies
  • Whether required identity or business checks are completed

8. Verification Review

Playflick may review verification requests manually, automatically, or through a combination of automated and human review where features are available.

  • Identity or business documents where required
  • Domain or email ownership
  • Brand or trademark information
  • Fraud, impersonation, or safety risk signals

9. Identity or Business Verification

Some verification requests may require identity verification, business verification, organisation verification, tax information, domain verification, email verification, or other supporting information.

Playflick may reject, pause, remove, or re-review verification if information is incomplete, inaccurate, expired, suspicious, inconsistent, or unverifiable.

10. No Guaranteed Verification

Submitting a verification request does not guarantee approval.

Playflick may refuse verification for any lawful reason, including where verification may create user confusion, fraud risk, safety risk, legal risk, rights concerns, impersonation concerns, or platform integrity concerns.


11. Verification Is Not Transferable

Verification badges and authenticity labels are generally linked to the verified account, person, business, organisation, creator, brand, studio, or identity reviewed by Playflick.

Users must not sell, rent, trade, transfer, auction, lend, or broker verified accounts, badges, labels, or verification access unless Playflick expressly permits it.


12. Profile Changes After Verification

Significant profile changes after verification may trigger re-review or badge removal.

Changes that may trigger review include:

  • Changing the account name
  • Changing the handle or profile URL
  • Changing profile images or banners
  • Changing account ownership
  • Changing business identity
  • Changing the represented person or brand
  • Posting misleading official claims
  • Creating new impersonation or rights concerns

13. Fake Verification Claims

Users must not falsely claim to be verified, officially approved, partnered, certified, endorsed, sponsored, or reviewed by Playflick.

Prohibited fake verification claims may include:

  • Using “verified” in a misleading way
  • Adding fake checkmark symbols to names or images
  • Using fake badge graphics
  • Claiming “official Playflick partner” without permission
  • Claiming staff approval without permission
  • Selling fake verification services
  • Sending fake verification messages to other users

14. Badge Misuse

Users must not misuse verification badges or authenticity labels.

Badge misuse may include:

  • Using a verified account to impersonate another person or business
  • Using verification to promote scams
  • Using verification to mislead users into payments
  • Using verification to hide policy violations
  • Using a badge to suggest Playflick endorses unrelated products
  • Using verification to pressure users into off-platform transactions

15. Impersonation Prevention

Verification may be used to reduce impersonation risk, but it does not eliminate all impersonation, parody, fan page, or unofficial page concerns.

Accounts must not impersonate another person, creator, brand, studio, business, organisation, government body, charity, or Playflick staff member.

16. Fan, Parody, Commentary, and Unofficial Accounts

Fan, parody, commentary, review, tribute, and unofficial accounts must not mislead users into believing they are verified official accounts.

Where needed, these accounts should clearly state that they are unofficial, fan-run, parody, commentary, or independent pages.

Playflick may require profile changes or unofficial labels where user confusion is likely.


17. Business, Brand, Studio, and Organisation Accounts

Business, brand, studio, distributor, publisher, festival, charity, organisation, and official project accounts may need to provide additional evidence of authority.

Evidence may include:

  • Business registration details
  • Official domain email
  • Official website links
  • Trademark information
  • Authorisation letters
  • Public official profiles
  • Payment or tax information where required

18. Public Figures and Creator Accounts

Public figures and creators may be asked to provide information showing that the account is authentic and controlled by the person or authorised representative.

Playflick may consider public presence, creator activity, risk of impersonation, official links, press coverage, profile consistency, and verification documents where required.


19. Verification Scams

Users must not sell, advertise, broker, or offer fake Playflick verification services.

Verification scams may include:

  • Charging users for fake verification
  • Claiming guaranteed verification approval
  • Requesting passwords or login codes for verification
  • Creating fake verification forms
  • Impersonating Playflick verification staff
  • Sending phishing links claiming to verify accounts
  • Offering to sell verified accounts

20. Verification Removal

Playflick may remove or change verification badges or authenticity labels at any time.

Verification does not prevent Playflick from:

  • Preserving records for legal, safety, fraud, rights, or moderation reasons

22. Reports About Fake Verification or Impersonation

Users may report fake verification claims, impersonation, fake badges, fake official accounts, verification scams, misleading business profiles, fake staff accounts, or suspicious verification messages.

23. Enforcement

Playflick may take action where verification badges, authenticity labels, profile claims, official status, identity information, business information, or related features are abused.

Enforcement may include:

  • Requiring profile changes
  • Restricting verification requests
  • Restricting profile or business tools

  • Preserving records for legal, safety, fraud, rights, or moderation reasons

24. Appeals

If your verification request, badge, authenticity label, profile status, account, or related feature was refused, removed, or restricted and you believe Playflick made a mistake, you may request a review under our Appeals Policy where available.
