2. Purpose of This Policy

Playflick may allow creators, studios, distributors, communities, event organisers, and users to host or join premieres and watch parties where features are available.

This policy explains:

  • How premieres and watch parties may work
  • What hosts and participants are responsible for
  • How chat, comments, spoilers, and moderation may be handled
  • How paid access, age restrictions, and content ratings may apply
  • How technical issues and replay access may be handled
  • How Playflick may restrict, remove, or moderate premiere and watch-party activity

3. Feature Availability

Premieres, watch parties, shared viewing rooms, scheduled release tools, live chat, countdown pages, host controls, replay access, co-hosting tools, ticketed access, and related features may not be available to every creator, user, business, community, country, device, payment method, content type, or account type.

Playflick may add, remove, restrict, redesign, suspend, or discontinue premiere and watch-party features at any time.

4. What Is a Premiere?

A premiere is a scheduled viewing experience where content may become available at a planned time, sometimes with countdowns, live chat, host participation, reminders, audience interaction, or replay access where available.

Premieres may include:

  • Film premieres
  • Short film premieres
  • Episode premieres
  • Trailer premieres
  • Music video premieres
  • Creator video premieres
  • Behind-the-scenes premieres
  • Community or festival premieres

5. What Is a Watch Party?

A watch party is a shared viewing experience where users may watch content together, chat, react, discuss, or participate in a timed or synchronised session where features are available.

Watch parties may be public, private, invite-only, community-based, creator-hosted, ticketed, free, member-only, or restricted by content type, country, age, or access rights.

6. Host Responsibility

Hosts are responsible for setting up premieres and watch parties accurately and safely.

Hosts should ensure:

  • The content is correctly selected
  • The date and time are accurate
  • Access requirements are clear
  • Age restrictions are respected
  • Paid access terms are clear where relevant
  • Community or chat rules are explained where appropriate
  • They have the rights needed to show or host the content

7. Rights to Host or Premiere Content

Hosts must have all rights, licences, permissions, clearances, and authorisations needed to premiere, stream, host, show, discuss, promote, or make content available through Playflick premiere or watch-party features.

This may include rights for:

  • Films
  • Series episodes
  • Trailers
  • Music
  • Clips
  • Images
  • Artwork
  • Subtitles and translations
  • Regional viewing permissions
  • Paid or ticketed access rights

8. Accurate Scheduling and Access Information

Premiere and watch-party pages must not mislead users about when content will start, what content will be shown, who is hosting, who can access the event, or whether payment is required.

Hosts should clearly explain:

  • Start time
  • Expected duration
  • Access requirements
  • Replay availability where relevant
  • Whether the session is live, pre-recorded, or scheduled playback
  • Whether chat or audience participation is available
  • Whether content is free, paid, ticketed, or member-only

9. Paid Premieres and Ticketed Watch Parties

Some premieres or watch parties may require payment, ticket purchase, subscription, membership, rental, access pass, or other eligible access method where features are available.

Paid access terms should clearly explain:

  • Price and fees
  • What access includes
  • How long access lasts
  • Whether replay is included
  • Whether access is transferable
  • Refund or cancellation rules
  • Country, device, or age restrictions

10. Age Restrictions and Content Ratings

Premieres and watch parties may be subject to content ratings, age restrictions, parental controls, regional rules, venue-style access rules, or legal requirements.

Hosts must not use premieres or watch parties to bypass age restrictions, child-safety rules, content ratings, or content classification rules.

Playflick may restrict visibility, chat, sharing, access, or replay where age or safety concerns apply.

11. Chat and Audience Interaction

Premieres and watch parties may include live chat, reactions, comments, polls, questions, watch-party messages, host messages, pinned comments, or audience interaction where features are available.

Users must not use chat or interaction tools to:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse others
  • Post hate speech
  • Spam links or promotions
  • Share scams, phishing, or malware
  • Post private personal information
  • Sexualise or exploit children
  • Disrupt the viewing experience
  • Evade moderation or account restrictions

12. Spoilers

Premieres and watch parties may involve new films, episodes, trailers, reviews, or exclusive content where spoilers can affect viewer experience.

Users should avoid deliberately posting spoilers in a disruptive, abusive, or misleading way.

Hosts may set spoiler rules, use pinned comments, moderate chat, or restrict comments where tools are available.

13. Host Moderation Tools

Hosts may have access to moderation tools where features are available.

Tools may include:

  • Blocking users
  • Muting users
  • Deleting chat messages
  • Holding messages for review
  • Filtering certain words or links
  • Pinning host messages
  • Restricting chat to members or followers
  • Reporting unsafe activity

Host moderation tools must not be used to hide scams, illegal activity, child-safety risks, or serious Playflick policy violations.

14. Replay Access

Some premieres or watch parties may provide replay access after the scheduled event, while others may not.

Replay access may depend on:

  • Content rights
  • Host settings
  • Paid access terms
  • Ticket or membership type
  • Regional restrictions
  • Age restrictions
  • Technical availability
  • Policy or rights enforcement

Unless clearly stated, purchase or attendance does not guarantee permanent replay access.

15. Technical Issues

Premieres and watch parties may experience technical issues.

Issues may include:

  • Playback failure
  • Stream delay
  • Chat delay
  • Access link problems
  • Ticket verification errors
  • Audio or subtitle problems
  • Device or browser compatibility issues
  • Internet connection interruptions

Playflick may review technical issues and may provide corrections, access support, refunds, credits, or other remedies where appropriate.

16. Start Time Changes, Delays, or Cancellation

Premieres and watch parties may be delayed, rescheduled, cancelled, ended early, restarted, or changed because of technical, rights, safety, legal, payment, moderation, or host issues.

Refunds or credits, where available, may depend on access terms, payment-provider rules, event circumstances, technical records, and applicable law.

17. Watch-Party Invitations

Watch parties may allow invitations, guest links, shared rooms, or participant lists where features are available.

Users must not use invitations to:

  • Spam users
  • Harass others
  • Evade blocks
  • Invite children to unsafe private spaces
  • Share paid access links unlawfully
  • Distribute leaked or unauthorised access credentials
  • Promote scams or unsafe links

18. Private or Invite-Only Watch Parties

Private or invite-only watch parties must still follow Playflick policies.

Hosts and participants must not use private watch-party spaces to hide prohibited content, harassment, scams, grooming, illegal activity, rights violations, or unsafe conduct.

19. Child Safety

Premieres and watch parties must not be used to exploit, groom, sexualise, manipulate, harass, identify, or endanger children or young users.

Users and hosts must not:

  • Invite children to unsafe private watch parties
  • Ask children to hide viewing activity from parents or guardians
  • Use chat to request private contact with minors
  • Share sexual comments about minors
  • Collect children’s personal information unlawfully
  • Expose children to age-inappropriate content through misleading access settings

Serious child-safety concerns may result in immediate account action and reporting where appropriate or required.

20. Event and Premiere Scams

Users must not use premiere or watch-party features for fake premieres, fake exclusive access, fake ticket links, phishing, malware, account theft, payment scams, or misleading VIP access claims.

Warning signs may include:

  • Requests for payment outside Playflick
  • Fake access links
  • Suspicious QR codes
  • Fake celebrity or studio participation claims
  • Fake “limited access” pressure
  • Requests for passwords or login codes
  • Links to fake Playflick login pages
