2. Purpose of This Policy

Playflick may allow creators, users, communities, brands, event organisers, or Playflick itself to use polls, votes, audience choices, and other participation tools where available.

This policy explains:

  • How polls and voting features may be used
  • What vote manipulation is prohibited
  • How creator and community polls may be moderated
  • How audience participation linked to awards, contests, or prizes may be handled
  • Why poll results may be delayed, adjusted, removed, or invalidated
  • How reports and appeals may work

3. Poll and Voting Feature Availability

Polls, votes, reactions, audience choices, prediction tools, fan voting, ranking tools, community voting, contest voting, and related participation features may not be available to every account, creator, business, community, content type, country, device, or user type.

Playflick may add, remove, restrict, redesign, suspend, or discontinue poll and voting features at any time.

4. General Poll Rules

Polls, votes, questions, options, and audience participation prompts must be lawful, safe, honest, and compliant with Playflick policies.

Users must not use polls or voting features to:

  • Harass, target, or shame others
  • Promote hate, violence, abuse, or illegal activity
  • Sexualise or exploit children
  • Collect private personal information unlawfully
  • Promote scams, phishing, malware, or fraud
  • Manipulate rankings, rewards, awards, or recommendations
  • Mislead users about prizes, outcomes, or official status
  • Evade moderation or account restrictions

5. Creator Polls

Creators may be able to ask viewers questions, run polls, collect audience opinions, or allow fans to vote on content ideas where features are available.

Creator polls should not mislead users about:

  • Whether the poll is official
  • Whether the result is binding
  • Whether there is a prize or reward
  • Whether votes affect monetisation, awards, or ranking
  • Whether personal information will be collected
  • Whether sponsors or brands are involved

6. Community Polls

Communities may use polls or voting tools to organise discussions, collect preferences, select topics, choose events, or support community decisions where available.

Community poll creators and moderators should make rules clear where a poll affects community decisions.

Playflick may restrict polls that create safety risks, harassment, manipulation, spam, or policy-violating outcomes.

7. Audience Voting for Awards or Recognition

Some audience votes may relate to creator awards, project recognition, community choice awards, film selections, contests, rankings, or other recognition features.

Such votes may be subject to additional rules, including:

  • Eligibility requirements
  • Voting periods
  • One vote per user or other voting limits
  • Fraud checks
  • Manual or automated review
  • Disqualification rules
  • Programme-specific terms

Audience voting does not guarantee awards, payments, ranking boosts, promotion, or permanent recognition.

8. Votes Linked to Promotions, Giveaways, or Competitions

Polls or votes connected to prizes, giveaways, competitions, sweepstakes, challenges, creator contests, grants, or rewards must follow our Promotions, Giveaways & Competitions Policy.

Organisers should clearly explain:

  • Who can vote
  • Who can enter
  • Voting deadline
  • Prize or reward details
  • Selection method
  • Any restrictions or eligibility rules
  • Whether Playflick is involved or not involved

More information is available in our Sponsored Content & Affiliate Disclosure Policy.

17. Polls and Recommendations

Polls, votes, reactions, and audience participation signals may or may not affect recommendations, rankings, trending, creator analytics, search visibility, awards, or content discovery.

Playflick does not guarantee that poll results or vote counts will increase views, subscribers, revenue, recommendations, awards, or visibility.

18. Prediction and Voting Features

Playflick may offer prediction, audience-choice, or interactive voting features where available.

These features must not be used for illegal gambling, betting, financial scams, misleading prize claims, or prohibited paid-entry schemes.

If a voting feature involves prizes, entry fees, rewards, or chance-based outcomes, additional rules may apply.
