This Embed Policy explains the rules for embedding, sharing, displaying, linking to, framing, or using Playflick videos, shorts, trailers, livestreams, players, thumbnails, metadata, playlists, channels, widgets, and related content outside Playflick.com. Playflick is operated by Playflick™ Media .ltd.

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Copyright & Takedown Policy, User Generated Content Policy, Video Upload Policy, Content Policy, Advertising Policy, API & Developer Terms, External Links Policy, Privacy Policy, and Third-Party Services Policy.

2. What Embedding Means

Embedding means displaying Playflick content, players, or related materials on a third-party website, app, platform, blog, social page, forum, marketplace, educational site, business site, or other external destination.

Embedding may include:

  • Embedded video players
  • Embedded shorts
  • Embedded livestreams or recordings
  • Embedded trailers
  • Embedded playlists
  • Embedded creator channels
  • Embedded thumbnails or previews
  • Embedded metadata
  • Links that generate previews
  • API-based embeds where available

3. Permission to Embed

Playflick may allow embedding where embed features are available and where the relevant content settings permit it.

Permission to embed is limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and subject to Playflick policies.

Playflick may disable, restrict, remove, block, or change embed functionality at any time for legal, safety, copyright, privacy, business, security, technical, or platform-integrity reasons.

4. No Ownership Transfer

Embedding Playflick content does not transfer ownership of the content, the player, the platform, the technology, trademarks, copyrights, data, or any related rights.

Content remains owned by the relevant rights holder, creator, user, licensor, or Playflick where applicable.

5. Creator Embed Settings

Creators may be able to enable or disable embedding for their content where Playflick provides such controls.

If embedding is disabled, you must not try to bypass the creator’s choice, Playflick’s restrictions, or technical access controls.

Playflick may also disable embedding regardless of creator settings where required for policy, legal, safety, copyright, privacy, advertising, or technical reasons.

6. Acceptable Embed Use

You may embed Playflick content only in a lawful, honest, safe, and non-misleading way.

Acceptable embed use may include:

  • Sharing creator content on a blog, website, or article
  • Displaying your own Playflick videos on your website
  • Embedding trailers, reviews, or creator videos where permitted
  • Using embeds for commentary, education, criticism, or promotion where lawful
  • Embedding content in a way that preserves attribution and playback functionality

7. Prohibited Embed Use

You must not use embeds to:

  • Mislead users about the source, creator, ownership, or official status of content
  • Remove, hide, alter, or obscure Playflick branding, controls, notices, or attribution
  • Frame Playflick content in a deceptive or harmful way
  • Use embeds to promote scams, phishing, malware, or illegal services
  • Display content beside illegal, hateful, exploitative, adult, or unsafe material where inappropriate
  • Bypass age restrictions, privacy settings, paid access, subscriptions, or geographic restrictions
  • Bypass advertising, analytics, security, or playback controls
  • Download, copy, scrape, archive, or redistribute content without permission
  • Use embeds to create fake engagement, fake views, or artificial traffic
  • Use embeds in a way that violates Playflick policies or applicable law

8. No Bypassing Access Controls

You must not bypass or attempt to bypass Playflick access controls, player controls, paid content restrictions, privacy settings, age restrictions, geographic restrictions, embed restrictions, security features, or technical protection measures.

This includes attempts to:

  • Extract direct video files without permission
  • Remove playback controls
  • Hide advertisements where they are required
  • Bypass paid content access
  • Bypass subscriber-only restrictions
  • Bypass age checks
  • Bypass creator embed settings
  • Scrape or mass-download content

9. Attribution and Branding

Embeds must not remove, hide, alter, or misrepresent Playflick branding, creator attribution, links, notices, captions, metadata, player controls, or other required information.

You must not make embedded content appear as if it is hosted, created, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by you unless that is accurate and lawful.

10. Embeds and Copyright

Embedding content does not automatically mean you have permission to use the underlying video, music, image, artwork, performance, film, trailer, livestream, or other protected material in every context.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of embeds is lawful and does not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights.

Rights holders may submit complaints under our Copyright & Takedown Policy or related rights policies.

11. Embeds and Paid Content

Paid content, rentals, subscriber-only videos, private content, restricted content, or monetised content may not be embeddable or may have limited embed functionality.

You must not use embeds to avoid payment, subscriptions, access limits, monetisation rules, wallet rules, advertising rules, or creator restrictions.

Playflick may disable embeds for paid or restricted content at any time.

12. Embeds and Age-Restricted Content

Age-restricted content may not be embeddable or may require users to view it directly on Playflick.

You must not use embeds to expose age-restricted content to users who should not access it.

Playflick may block embeds that create child-safety, age-restriction, legal, or platform-integrity concerns.

13. Embeds and Advertising

Embedded content may include Playflick advertising, creator monetisation, tracking, analytics, player notices, or other platform features where applicable.

You must not:

  • Block, hide, remove, or interfere with required ads
  • Create artificial ad impressions or clicks
  • Use embeds to manipulate ad revenue
  • Place embedded content beside misleading or prohibited ads
  • Suggest that Playflick endorses your ads, products, website, or services

14. Embeds and Privacy

Embedded Playflick content may process certain technical data, cookies, analytics data, player data, or similar information where permitted.

If you embed Playflick content on your own website or service, you are responsible for providing any privacy notices, cookie notices, consent tools, or legal disclosures required for your website or users.

15. Embeds on Unsafe or Prohibited Websites

Playflick content must not be embedded on websites, apps, or services that promote or contain:

  • Child sexual abuse material or child exploitation
  • Non-consensual intimate content
  • Terrorist or violent extremist content
  • Malware, phishing, spyware, or scams
  • Illegal goods or services
  • Copyright piracy or illegal streaming
  • Hate speech or targeted harassment
  • Fraudulent financial schemes
  • Content that seriously endangers users or the public

Playflick may block embeds on websites or domains that create safety, legal, reputational, security, or policy risks.

16. Technical Restrictions

Playflick may use technical measures to control embed access, playback, bandwidth, security, analytics, copyright compliance, advertising, paid access, or platform performance.

Technical restrictions may include:

  • Domain blocking
  • Rate limits
  • Player restrictions
  • API restrictions
  • Geographic restrictions
  • Age-gate restrictions
  • Playback restrictions
  • Security checks
  • Embed disablement

You must not interfere with or bypass these restrictions.

17. API-Based Embeds

If Playflick provides API tools, widgets, developer tools, or embed integrations, developers must follow our API & Developer Terms and any technical documentation or rate limits provided.

Developers must not use APIs or embed tools to scrape content, create fake engagement, bypass access controls, harvest user data, or misuse Playflick systems.

18. Embed Availability

Playflick does not guarantee that embeds will always work, remain available, display correctly, load quickly, or support every browser, app, device, operating system, website, country, or network.

Embeds may stop working because of:

  • Creator settings
  • Content removal
  • Copyright complaints
  • Policy enforcement
  • Age restrictions
  • Privacy settings
  • Paid content restrictions
  • Technical changes
  • Third-party service issues
  • Security or platform updates

19. Reporting Embed Misuse

If you believe Playflick content is being embedded in a harmful, infringing, misleading, unsafe, illegal, or abusive way, you may report it to Playflick.

20. Enforcement

Playflick may take action where embeds violate this policy or other Playflick rules.

Enforcement may include:

  • Removing or restricting content
  • Age-restricting content
  • Restricting API or developer access
  • Restricting monetisation
  • Withholding or reversing earnings connected to embed abuse
  • Suspending or terminating accounts
  • Taking legal action where appropriate

21. Appeals

If your embed access, API access, content, account, or domain was restricted and you believe Playflick made a mistake, you may request a review under our Appeals Policy.
