Welcome to Playflick. Our community guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on Playflick.com.

Playflick is a video discovery and creator platform for independent entertainment, short films, trailers, creators, and community videos. We want Playflick to be creative, useful, entertaining, and safe for everyone.

By using Playflick, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines, our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Copyright Policy, and any other rules we publish.

2. Our Community Principles

Playflick is built around the following principles:

Respect: Treat other users, creators, viewers, and communities with respect.
Safety: Do not upload, promote, or encourage harmful, illegal, abusive, or exploitative content.
Originality: Upload content you own, created, licensed, or have permission to use.
Honesty: Do not mislead people through impersonation, scams, fake engagement, or deceptive content.
Responsibility: You are responsible for what you upload, post, comment, share, advertise, or monetise.

3. Content You May Upload

You may upload videos, shorts, trailers, films, clips, livestreams, thumbnails, comments, descriptions, and other content if you have the legal right to do so and the content follows our rules.

Examples of content that may be allowed include:

Original videos created by you
Independent films and short films you own or are authorised to share
Trailers you have rights or permission to upload
Creator-made entertainment
Educational, review, commentary, or analysis content that follows applicable law
Community videos
Music videos or performances where you own or have licensed all required rights
Public-domain or properly licensed content
Content used with clear permission from the rights holder

If you are unsure whether you have permission to upload something, do not upload it.

4. Prohibited Content

The following content is not allowed on Playflick. We may remove it, restrict it, disable monetisation, suspend accounts, report it to relevant authorities, or take other enforcement action.

4.1 Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation

Playflick has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material, child exploitation, grooming, or sexualisation of minors.

You must not upload, post, stream, share, request, promote, or link to content involving:

Child sexual abuse material
Sexualisation of minors
Grooming or attempts to contact minors for sexual purposes
Predatory behaviour involving children or young people
Requests for sexual images or videos involving minors
Content that endangers, exploits, or abuses children

We may immediately remove such content, suspend accounts, preserve evidence, and report to law enforcement or relevant child-safety organisations.

4.2 Terrorism and Violent Extremism

You must not upload or promote content that supports, praises, recruits for, funds, instructs, or glorifies terrorism or violent extremism.

Prohibited content includes:

Terrorist propaganda
Recruitment material
Instructions for attacks or violent extremist activity
Celebration of terrorist acts
Content from terrorist or violent extremist organisations
Fundraising or support for terrorist activity

4.3 Threats, Harassment, and Bullying

You must not threaten, harass, bully, stalk, intimidate, or target others.

Prohibited behaviour includes:

Threats of violence
Targeted harassment
Coordinated abuse
Encouraging others to harass someone
Repeated unwanted contact
Mocking or humiliating private individuals
Abusive comments directed at a person or group

4.4 Hate Speech and Hateful Conduct

Playflick does not allow hate speech or dehumanising attacks against people based on protected characteristics.

Protected characteristics may include:

Race
Ethnicity
Nationality
Religion
Sex
Gender identity
Sexual orientation
Disability
Age
Immigration status
Veteran status

Prohibited content includes:

Calls for violence against protected groups
Dehumanising language
Slurs used to attack or degrade
Praise of hate organisations
Denial, praise, or trivialisation of mass atrocities where used to attack a protected group

4.5 Graphic Violence and Harmful Shock Content

You must not upload content that is primarily intended to shock, disgust, traumatise, or glorify violence.

Restricted or prohibited content may include:

Graphic injury or death
Sadistic violence
Animal cruelty
Violent assault footage shared for entertainment
Content encouraging real-world violence
Instructions for causing serious harm

Some newsworthy, educational, documentary, or awareness content may be allowed if it provides clear context and does not glorify harm.

4.6 Self-Harm and Dangerous Behaviour

You must not encourage suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous challenges, or serious physical harm.

Prohibited content includes:

Instructions for suicide or self-harm
Encouragement to self-harm
Content praising eating disorders
Dangerous challenges likely to cause serious injury
Content encouraging minors to perform unsafe acts

Supportive recovery, awareness, educational, or help-seeking content may be allowed if it does not provide harmful instructions or encouragement.

4.7 Sexual Content and Nudity

Playflick is not intended to be an adult content platform.

We may remove or restrict content involving:

Pornography
Explicit sexual acts
Sexual content involving or appearing to involve minors
Non-consensual intimate content
Revenge pornography
Voyeuristic content
Sexual exploitation
Content used for sexual solicitation

Educational, artistic, medical, or documentary content may be reviewed in context and may be restricted, age-limited, or removed depending on the circumstances.

4.8 Copyright Infringement and Piracy

You must only upload content you own or have permission to use.

Do not upload:

Full movies you do not own
TV shows you do not own
Sports broadcasts you do not own
Music you do not have permission to use
Trailers, clips, or scenes without permission
Leaked content
Cam-rips or bootlegs
Pirated paid content
Content copied from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, or other platforms without permission

4.9 Scams, Fraud, and Deceptive Content

You must not use Playflick to scam, mislead, or defraud users.

Prohibited content includes:

Fake giveaways
Phishing
Investment scams
Crypto scams
Fake job offers
Impersonation scams
Pyramid schemes
Misleading money-making claims
Fraudulent paid content
Fake charity appeals

4.10 Spam and Platform Manipulation

You must not manipulate Playflick systems or artificially inflate activity.

Prohibited behaviour includes:

Fake views
Fake likes
Fake comments
Fake subscribers
Bot activity
Mass posting
Repeated duplicate uploads
Misleading tags, titles, thumbnails, or descriptions
Clickbait that deceives users
Using multiple accounts to evade enforcement

4.11 Impersonation and Misleading Identity

You must not impersonate another person, creator, brand, company, public figure, organisation, or Playflick staff member.

Prohibited behaviour includes:

Using another person’s name, image, logo, or identity in a misleading way
Pretending to be Playflick or a Playflick employee
Creating fake official accounts
Misleading users about sponsorship, affiliation, endorsement, or ownership

4.12 Privacy Violations and Doxxing

You must not share private or sensitive information about another person without permission.

Prohibited information includes:

Home addresses
Private phone numbers
Private email addresses
Identity documents
Bank or payment details
Login details
Medical information
Private messages
Images or videos taken in private settings without consent

4.13 Malware, Hacking, and Technical Abuse

You must not upload, link to, or promote malware, hacking, phishing, credential theft, spyware, or unauthorised access.

Prohibited activity includes:

Malicious files
Credential-stealing links
Phishing pages
Exploits
Botnets
Instructions for unauthorised hacking
Attempts to bypass Playflick security
Attempts to scrape, clone, attack, or overload Playflick

4.14 Illegal Goods, Services, and Activities

You must not use Playflick to promote, sell, arrange, or facilitate illegal goods, services, or activity.

Prohibited content may include:

Illegal drugs
Stolen goods
Weapons trafficking
Counterfeit goods
Human trafficking
Sexual exploitation
Document fraud
Money laundering
Illegal gambling
Instructions for criminal activity

4.15 Misleading Medical, Financial, or Legal Claims

Content that gives medical, financial, or legal information must not be deceptive, dangerous, or fraudulent.

We may remove or restrict content that:

Promotes harmful medical treatments
Discourages urgent medical care in dangerous situations
Makes fake investment promises
Guarantees unrealistic financial returns
Misleads users about legal rights or obligations
Targets vulnerable users with harmful advice

5. Age-Restricted Content

Some content may not be suitable for all users. Playflick may age-restrict, limit, or reduce distribution of content involving mature themes.

Age-restricted content may include:

Strong language
Mature themes
Non-graphic violence
Educational discussion of sensitive topics
Medical or documentary content
Content involving alcohol, tobacco, or controlled substances in context

Age restriction does not guarantee that content is allowed. Content that breaches our rules may still be removed.

6. Comments and Community Behaviour

Comments and community interactions must follow these guidelines.

You must not use comments, messages, or community features to:

Harass or threaten others
Post spam
Promote scams
Post hateful or abusive content
Share private information
Post sexual content involving minors
Encourage violence or self-harm
Impersonate others
Manipulate engagement
Evade moderation

Creators may moderate comments on their own content where tools are available, but Playflick may also remove comments or restrict accounts at platform level.

7. Thumbnails, Titles, Tags, and Descriptions

Metadata must accurately represent your content.

You must not use thumbnails, titles, tags, descriptions, or categories to:

Mislead viewers
Impersonate another creator or brand
Trick users into clicking
Promote prohibited content
Hide illegal or harmful content
Use unrelated trending topics to gain traffic
Sexualise minors
Evade moderation systems

Misleading metadata may result in removal, reduced distribution, demonetisation, or account action.

8. Monetisation Rules

If Playflick enables monetisation, paid videos, creator earnings, subscriptions, rentals, donations, or advertising revenue, creators must follow extra rules.

Monetised content must not:

Infringe copyright
Use fake views or fake engagement
Contain illegal or prohibited content
Mislead users about what they are buying
Use scams or deceptive claims
Exploit children or vulnerable people
Violate advertiser, payment-provider, or platform rules

Playflick may suspend monetisation, withhold earnings, reverse payments, or remove eligibility where we suspect fraud, abuse, invalid traffic, copyright infringement, or policy violations.

9. Reporting Content

If you see content that may breach these Community Guidelines, please report it.

You may report:

Illegal content
Copyright infringement
Child safety concerns
Harassment or bullying
Hate speech
Scams or fraud
Impersonation
Privacy violations
Violence or threats
Spam or fake engagement

10. Enforcement Actions

If content or behaviour breaches these guidelines, Playflick may take action.

Actions may include:

Removing content
Restricting visibility
Age-restricting content
Disabling comments
Removing comments
Disabling uploads
Demonetising content
Suspending monetisation
Removing fake views, likes, or subscribers
Issuing warnings
Suspending accounts
Terminating accounts
Blocking users from creating new accounts
Reporting content or users to relevant authorities
Preserving evidence where needed

We may act without notice where necessary for safety, legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, or platform integrity.

11. Repeat Violations

Users who repeatedly violate our rules may lose access to Playflick.

Repeat violations may result in:

Account suspension
Permanent account termination
Loss of monetisation
Removal of content
Loss of upload privileges
Blocking of new accounts
Repeat infringer status for copyright violations

12. Appeals

If you believe we made a mistake, you may contact us to appeal a decision.

Appeals should include:

Your username or account email
The affected content URL
The decision you are appealing
Why you believe the decision was wrong
Any supporting information

13. Cooperation With Authorities

We may disclose information, remove content, restrict accounts, preserve evidence, or report serious illegal content where necessary or legally required.

14. Changes to These Community Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time.

Updates may be made to reflect new features, legal requirements, safety risks, moderation practices, or community needs.

Your continued use of Playflick after changes become effective means you agree to follow the updated guidelines.
