2. What Counts as Advertising?

Advertising on Playflick may include:

  • Video ads
  • Pre-roll ads
  • Mid-roll ads where available
  • Post-roll ads where available
  • Image ads
  • Banner ads
  • Sidebar ads
  • Homepage ads
  • Profile page ads
  • Promoted videos
  • Promoted channels
  • Sponsored content
  • Self-hosted ads
  • VAST or VPAID ads where available
  • HTML ads where available
  • Campaigns charged by CPC, CPV, impressions, views, clicks, wallet balance, credits, or other billing methods

Playflick may add, remove, restrict, or change advertising formats at any time.


3. Advertiser Responsibility

Advertisers are fully responsible for their ads, landing pages, products, services, claims, targeting, and legal compliance.

By advertising on Playflick, you confirm that:

  • Your ads are lawful
  • Your ads are accurate and not misleading
  • Your ads comply with this Advertising Policy
  • Your ads comply with all applicable laws and advertising rules
  • You have all rights, permissions, licences, and approvals needed to run the ads
  • Your ads do not infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other rights
  • Your landing pages are safe, functional, accurate, and related to the ad
  • You will not use Playflick ads to scam, mislead, exploit, or harm users

4. Playflick Review Rights

Playflick may review, approve, reject, restrict, pause, remove, or suspend any ad or campaign at any time.

We may take action if we believe an ad:

  • Breaks this policy
  • Breaks our Terms or Community Guidelines
  • Creates legal, safety, reputational, user, advertiser, payment, or platform risk
  • Is misleading, low quality, harmful, offensive, exploitative, unsafe, or inappropriate
  • Is associated with fraud, abuse, suspicious payments, or invalid activity
  • Is likely to harm user trust or Playflick’s reputation

Approval of an ad does not mean Playflick endorses the advertiser, product, service, claim, or landing page.


5. Prohibited Advertising Content

The following advertising content is not allowed on Playflick.

5.1 Illegal Products, Services, or Activity

Ads must not promote:

  • Illegal goods or services
  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances
  • Stolen goods
  • Counterfeit goods
  • Human trafficking
  • Sexual exploitation
  • Document fraud
  • Money laundering
  • Illegal weapons sales
  • Illegal gambling
  • Criminal activity or instructions

5.2 Scams, Fraud, and Deceptive Offers

Ads must not promote:

  • Fake giveaways
  • Phishing
  • Investment scams
  • Crypto scams
  • Pyramid schemes
  • Get-rich-quick schemes
  • Fake job offers
  • Fake charities
  • Misleading subscriptions
  • Hidden charges
  • Deceptive free trials
  • False endorsements

5.3 Harmful or Unsafe Claims

Ads must not make harmful, false, or misleading claims about:

  • Health treatments
  • Medical cures
  • Weight loss
  • Financial returns
  • Legal outcomes
  • Employment opportunities
  • Education credentials
  • Government benefits
  • Emergency support
  • Life-changing results

Ads must not exploit fear, urgency, insecurity, illness, poverty, grief, or vulnerability in a misleading or harmful way.

5.4 Adult Sexual Content

Playflick is not intended to be an adult advertising platform.

Ads must not promote:

  • Pornography
  • Sexual services
  • Escort services
  • Adult livestreaming
  • Explicit sexual content
  • Sexual content involving or appearing to involve minors
  • Non-consensual intimate content
  • Sexual exploitation

5.5 Child Exploitation and Unsafe Content Involving Minors

Ads must not exploit, sexualise, target, endanger, or manipulate children or young people.

Prohibited advertising includes:

  • Sexualised content involving minors
  • Ads encouraging unsafe behaviour by minors
  • Ads requesting personal information from minors in unsafe ways
  • Ads that exploit children for donations, sympathy, or manipulation
  • Ads for products or services inappropriate for children where targeted at children

5.6 Hate, Harassment, and Discrimination

Ads must not promote:

  • Hate speech
  • Harassment
  • Bullying
  • Threats
  • Discrimination
  • Dehumanising content
  • Abuse targeting protected characteristics
  • Extremist ideology

5.7 Violence, Weapons, and Dangerous Content

Ads must not promote:

  • Violence
  • Threats of violence
  • Graphic harm
  • Weapon trafficking
  • Instructions for making weapons
  • Dangerous challenges
  • Self-harm
  • Suicide encouragement
  • Explosives or harmful devices

5.8 Malware, Hacking, and Technical Abuse

Ads must not promote or link to:

  • Malware
  • Spyware
  • Phishing pages
  • Credential theft
  • Botnets
  • Unauthorised hacking tools
  • Fake software updates
  • Deceptive downloads
  • Technical support scams

5.9 Copyright and Trademark Infringement

Ads must not infringe intellectual property rights.

Prohibited advertising includes:

  • Ads using copyrighted videos, music, images, artwork, logos, or clips without permission
  • Ads selling pirated content
  • Ads selling counterfeit goods
  • Ads impersonating brands or creators
  • Ads using Playflick branding without permission
  • Ads misleading users about endorsement or affiliation

5.10 Misleading Political, Public Issue, or Sensitive Ads

Playflick may restrict or reject political, election-related, public issue, or sensitive-topic advertising.

Ads must not:

  • Mislead users about voting, elections, public services, legal rights, or public safety
  • Impersonate government bodies or officials
  • Spread deceptive manipulated media
  • Target vulnerable groups with misleading political claims
  • Break applicable election, campaign, or advertising laws

Playflick may require verification, disclaimers, transparency labels, or additional review for political or sensitive ads.


6. Restricted Advertising Categories

Some ads may be allowed only with restrictions, additional review, age controls, location controls, legal compliance, or prior written approval from Playflick.

Restricted categories may include:

  • Financial products and services
  • Cryptocurrency or digital assets
  • Health products or services
  • Medical devices or treatments
  • Weight loss products
  • Alcohol
  • Gambling or prize promotions
  • Dating services
  • Adult-themed but non-explicit products
  • Political or public issue campaigns
  • Legal services
  • Employment or recruitment offers
  • Education or certification offers
  • Products or services aimed at children

Playflick may reject restricted-category ads even if they are legal.


7. Landing Page Requirements

Ads must link to safe, accurate, and relevant landing pages.

Landing pages must:

  • Match the ad claim
  • Clearly identify the advertiser, product, or service
  • Not mislead users
  • Not contain malware, phishing, or harmful code
  • Not force unwanted downloads
  • Not use deceptive pop-ups or fake system warnings
  • Not hide prices, subscriptions, or charges
  • Not collect sensitive information deceptively
  • Comply with privacy, consumer, advertising, and data protection laws
  • Remain functional throughout the campaign

Playflick may reject or suspend ads if the landing page is unsafe, broken, misleading, unrelated, or non-compliant.


8. Ad Targeting and User Data

Advertisers must use targeting responsibly and lawfully.

You must not use advertising tools to:

  • Discriminate unlawfully
  • Target users based on sensitive characteristics in unlawful or harmful ways
  • Target children with inappropriate products or services
  • Exploit vulnerable users
  • Harass, stalk, or intimidate individuals
  • Collect user data without proper consent or lawful basis
  • Combine Playflick data with external data in unlawful ways
  • Reverse engineer, identify, profile, or track individual users unlawfully

Advertisers are responsible for complying with applicable privacy, cookie, electronic marketing, and data protection laws.


9. Sponsored Content and Creator Promotions

Creators who publish sponsored content, paid promotions, affiliate links, product placements, or brand deals must disclose them clearly and honestly.

Sponsored content should not mislead viewers about the commercial relationship between the creator and the advertiser.

Creators must not:

  • Hide sponsorships or paid promotions
  • Make false claims about products or services
  • Promote scams or unsafe offers
  • Promote prohibited products or services
  • Target children unfairly or unsafely
  • Use fake testimonials or fake endorsements

Playflick may remove, restrict, or demonetise sponsored content that breaches this policy.


10. Ad Billing, CPC, CPV, Credits, and Campaign Spend

Playflick may charge advertisers using different billing models, including cost per click, cost per view, impressions, wallet balance, campaign budget, credits, or other methods shown in the advertising tools.

Advertisers are responsible for setting budgets, checking campaign settings, monitoring campaign performance, and ensuring ads comply with Playflick rules.

Unless stated otherwise:

  • Delivered impressions, views, clicks, or campaign spend are non-refundable
  • Used advertising credits are non-refundable
  • Ads rejected before delivery may be eligible for credit restoration
  • Campaigns suspended for policy violations are not normally refundable
  • Playflick may correct billing errors, invalid activity, or fraudulent activity

11. Invalid Traffic and Ad Fraud

Playflick may detect and remove invalid advertising activity.

Invalid activity may include:

  • Fake clicks
  • Fake views
  • Bot traffic
  • Click farms
  • Repeated self-clicking
  • Artificial ad impressions
  • Forced clicks
  • Misleading ad placements
  • Manipulated campaign metrics
  • Creator or advertiser collusion

Playflick may adjust campaign metrics, remove invalid traffic, reverse credits, withhold creator earnings, suspend advertisers, or terminate accounts where invalid activity is suspected.


12. Advertiser Verification

Playflick may require advertisers to verify their identity, business, payment method, location, website, or authority to advertise.

Verification may be required for:

  • High-spend campaigns
  • Sensitive categories
  • Political or public issue ads
  • Financial services
  • Health-related ads
  • Suspicious accounts
  • Fraud prevention
  • Legal compliance

Failure to complete verification may result in campaign rejection, account limits, or suspension.


13. Ad Removal, Suspension, and Account Action

Playflick may remove, reject, pause, restrict, or suspend ads and advertiser accounts at any time.

Reasons may include:

  • Policy violations
  • Legal risk
  • Unsafe landing pages
  • Fraud or suspicious payments
  • Invalid activity
  • Misleading claims
  • User complaints
  • Copyright or trademark complaints
  • Payment-provider restrictions
  • Reputational risk
  • Repeated ad rejections

Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent loss of advertising access.


14. No Guarantee of Results

Playflick does not guarantee advertising results.

We do not guarantee:

  • Views
  • Clicks
  • Conversions
  • Sales
  • Subscribers
  • Watch time
  • Engagement
  • Revenue
  • Audience growth
  • Campaign profitability

Advertising performance may vary based on audience, budget, targeting, creative quality, platform availability, user behaviour, fraud checks, content suitability, and other factors.


15. Appeals

If your ad or advertising account is rejected, restricted, or suspended, you may contact us to request a review.

  • The decision you are appealing
  • Why you believe the decision was incorrect

16. Changes to Advertising Features

Playflick may add, remove, change, pause, or discontinue advertising features at any time.

We may change:

  • Ad formats
  • Pricing models
  • Billing methods
  • Campaign budgets
  • Targeting options
  • Restricted categories
  • Review processes
  • Ad placements
  • Ad measurement tools
  • Advertiser eligibility rules
